Parting is such sweet sorrow. This Tuesday our dear friend Melanie Coles bid us farewell from the Sup World? studios in style. Invited to our little send off was Xophie from Watermelon, Aaron Read from Aaron Read, Hugo from Weed, Ryan from Green Burrito Tapes and Daniel from Student Loan Records. It was a full house of friends who’ve made the show a real treat right from the beginning when Mel founded Sup World 1 year ago.
As you can tell with our roster of sweet sweet guests, things got silly, and I strongly encourage you listen to this episode, riiiiiiiiiight HERE. HERE. HERE. HERE.
In our day time talk show inspired episode, we asked each of our guests to bring in one song from one of their fave local Vancouver bands + prepare one question to ask the panel of fellow music dweebs. The results were magic.

Now time for the sentimental stuff…
Sup World?, as much as Melanie is too modest to admit it, has become a real institution in our Vancouver music scene. The amount of UNREAL local talent that is constantly played on this show is really something undeniably special. I think it’s really cool that all these bands have an outlet to showcase their music and can share all the sounds they are so genuinely excited about.
I really want to thank Mel for taking me under her wing and showing me the ropes at CiTR. I feel lucky every moment I’m on the show and I couldn’t be more excited to do our listeners proud and carry on the quality music programming they’ve come to expect from the little Vancouver studio. I think I speak for everyone when I say Melanie will not only be missed in the halls of the radio station, but behind the desk at Zulu, in the crowds at shows and IN OUR COLLECTIVE HEARTS. COOKIES FOR BREAKFAST WON’T BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU MELANIE.
So starting next week kiddies, the show will be officially hosted by myself, Ali Haberstroh, and the WONDERFUL Will Anderson of Weed.
It’s going to be a goodie.
TUNE IN.
