Formerly hosted by Melanie Coles, Sup World? has been handed down to Ali Haberstroh who now hosts the weekly music program from the CiTR 101.9 FM studios. Guests join in studio & play songs off their favourite records and talk about the methods behind their own music. That or we go for long walks on the beach with touring bands.

A cast of prerecorded friends joined me in the otherwise lonely Sup World? studio today. It was my first show alone without Melanie and it went DECENTLY SMOOTHLY, which is all I could have really asked for.

Today was also the day that I finally played my full length interview with the great Trevor Powers of Youth Lagoon, which brought back many fond memories of my cousin Ian and my lovely night with Trevor and his guitar player Logan. Truly stand up guys. I hope you enjoy(ed) it!

Also on today’s show was music and a really fucked up interview with Walter Woodman of new Toronto band, Shy Kids. Unfortunately the interview played really quietly over the song, twice and got cut off… twice. SO LOOKS LIKE I REALLY NAILED THAT OPPORTUNITY YA? its okay. you can still listen to their track below, and watch their music video here.

I also made my radio debut today with a song I covered in lieu of the YL interview. Its a track I recorded on my cassette deck and it’s called seventeen and it’s by Trevor. You can download it down there, even though that concept makes me nervous beyond my wildest dreams.
